History
With a lifestyle unchanged since before the Last Day, the nomadic Orcs value kinship above all else, traveling in clans with a supportive social structure that allowed them to successfully wander all of Ouranos. Usul, however, has been alone most of his life. After his small clan was slaughtered by a rare pair of Devourers that had wandered away from Kheiron, Usul was orphaned and alone at age five. He had barely begun to learn the skills needed to survive. But somehow he did. He traveled the kingdom of Thrasos for the next decade becoming a stronger and deadlier hunter before he came across another clan of Orcs who happily took him in with open arms.
He found himself uncomfortable being constantly surrounded by so many people. After so many years of relative silence, conversation felt forced and as result he often stayed silent, reserving his words for things that really mattered. While he grew to love his adoptive family and clan, this life wasn't for him any more. After three years, he told them that he needed to leave. Hunting the monsters of the world was his calling, though he returned often as he made many strong bonds within his new clan.
Usul made a name for himself, with a reputation as one of the best, if not the best, monster hunters to roam Thrasos. If the rumors are to be believed, he’s even dispatched nearly half a dozen Devourers. Only a handful of hunters can count themselves among the rank of those who have killed even one and there is only a single hunter among them, other than Usul, who has killed more than a single Devourer.
He does make friends during his travels, but mostly keeps to himself. Usul desires companionship, but doesn’t feel comfortable enough to try and find someone. It’s easier to be alone, especially with the dangerous life that he leads. He considers the years he spent alone, without the help of a social structure during that critical formative period of his life, a scar he can’t ever shake off and a defect that will prevent someone from truly caring for him or from seeing the intelligent mind behind the warrior.
